Nursery

Children up to 3 years old

Children are an important part of the community here at First Baptist. Because they are a “heritage of the Lord” and a “reward” from Him (Psalm 127:3), children are to be treasured. During every service, we happily provide nursery care for infants and children up to three years old. Three different nurseries, separated by age and development and staffed by caring workers, allow for a comfortable, safe place for your child to sleep, eat, or play during the service.

Orchestra & Children’s Choir

Children 1st–8th grade

These two ministries enhance our worship services and sharpen our focus on God. Any child from 1st grade through 8th grade can join the children’s choir. Any instrumentalist who is a member of the church and has had a year of beginning band, orchestra, or lessons can join the orchestra.

Children’s Events

Our children are involved in a variety of activities and events throughout the year such as Breakfast with Pastors, Bike Rodeo, Fall Carnival, and time at camp! We believe that children can and should have fun while learning about their God. We’d love to have your child join us this year!

Junior Church

Children 4 – 4th grade

Jesus set the example for loving children when He blessed them in Matthew 19, saying, “Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Just as Jesus placed a significant value on children, we desire to impact the lives of this special age group. It is a joy to see children in Junior Church trust Jesus as their Savior and grow in their faith.

During the Sunday morning worship service, our four and five year olds listen to Bible and missionary stories, sing, and learn about their Creator God. First- through fourth-grade children meet separately to review what they’ve learned from previous weeks and to learn new challenges from the Bible. They also have a time to sing and work on memory verses.

As an arm of the church, the school seeks to assist parents in the development of young lives for the glory of God.

District 3

The Mission of District 3 is to develop committed and earnest teenage followers of Jesus Christ.

We Learn: Members of District 3 learn of Jesus in the Word of God as we meet together weekly. Understanding more about Jesus and his commands is absolutely essential in our journey to be more like Him.

We Follow: Members of District 3 follow Jesus as committed believers by submitting to his Word in every area of their lives. As a group we are committed to following all that we have learned from Jesus regardless of the cost.

We Serve: Members of District 3 serve Jesus by ministering in his body, the church, and evangelizing the lost. Thankfulness for the gentle mastery of Christ motivates us to serve him in every aspect of our lives.
